June 1, 2013 · Keeping an eye on our Fragile Waters

While at Virginia's beaches, Andrea had the opportunity to meet Ernest H. Brooks II and Dorothy Kerper Monnelly during the opening of Fragile Waters on June 1, 2013 at the Mariner's Museum in Newport News, VA. The traveling exhibition, organized by photokunst, features the two artists' work, as well as Ansel Adams', and together present a gorgeous reminder of how our environment needs our protection. The works feature coastal and marine ecosystems in their pristine beauty, captured through black and white photography, compelling the viewer to transcend mere appreciation to fight to preserve such elegance in nature. Ernie and Dorothy, like Adams, have spent their lives not only documenting in a classic form, but involved in crucial environmental issues, so that future generations may appreciate the playful innocence of sea lions or calm of patterns found in snow, ice, and sand. Fragile Waters gathers their fine works into a quiet inspiring installation any life-long beach goer, especially those in the making, should not miss. Be sure to check the schedule as the national tour progresses through the next few years.

Feb 11, 2013 · HAF-mobile hits the road!

Providing wines to Virginia is no easy task, so now we have our capable van to transport it all over! If you catch us on the road, appreciate our safe driving, be sure to maintain yours, then snap and tag us in picture on facebook. From our magnetic HAF signs to our HAF-er Donate Life license plate, we aim to advertise... to help around of course! We've relocated one of our team members south to help with all the deliveries, and have opened up an office to operate out of Lynchburg, VA. This was only made possible by gracious and abundant help of our newest addition to the family: attorney Sid Kirstein. With double the manpower, expect to see more vineyards join us as we fundraise and spread that helpful little HAF logo.
